I went to UW
Health today and received a PET scan, an MRI, blood work, and was supposed to
receive a lumbar puncture. Amy, my nurse
practitioner, made three tries at the lumber puncture, but could not get
it. She said she would reschedule it
with the aid of something akin to an x-ray as soon as possible.
I had really
hoped to be done with UW until my next PET scan in late July. I could be back there again this week.
Usually, the
lumbar punctures go really smoothly with minimal discomfort, but I am really
sore today. Amy made three attempts, yet
it feels like more.
